3. NEWS FROM SCSC MEMBERS AND FSU ALUMS
· Amy Oliver Writes that she is the Sync Coordinator in the Music Licensing Division of Warner Music Group (www.emg.com) and Keyboardist / Singer in the band “Moving Picture Show. Amy graduated from FSU in 1999 with a Bachelor of Music Therapy. She suggests that you go to their website (www.themovingpictureshow.com) to sign up on their mailing list and be notified of any concerts. When you come to a concert, tell Amy that you’re a Seminole and receive a free CD.
· FSU Grad Makes … Furniture. While working in a high-tech PR firm he had co-founded in Santa Ana, Fred Golightly did woodworking projects for his home on weekends. One day his neighbors found him in his garage making a remarkable four-poster castle bed for his daughter, Olivia. The bed had hand-carved three-dimensional towers with built-in nightlights, hand-carved “stonework” mimicking castle walls, and a genuine crystal crown mounted in the headboard. His neighbors were awed and prodded him to go into business building the beds. He opened an office and shop, ordered larger woodworking equipment and began creating castle bedroom sets. He couldn’t build enough beds working alone and ended up outsourcing the woodworking – to Vietnam. (Checking on the manufacturing is giving him a very impressive number of “frequent flyer” miles.) Today his company makes 2 collections of furniture featuring castle beds, the Princess Olivia Collection and Will’s King Arthur Collection, the later named for his young son, and he is working on 2 other designs. He tells us that he is offering the heirloom-quality castle beds to Seminole Club members at the wholesale price of $895 (about half the retail price). For this and other wholesale pricing, contact Fred at 949-547-5288 or go to his website at www.oliviaandwill.com.
· John Hines, former SCSC member and former president of the Boston Seminole club, wants to get back to So Cal. He states that his resume can be found on www.Monster.com and www.CarrerBuilders.com. He is looking for a job in the writing field or in Office Management. John’s e-mail is NESeminole@aol.com.
· We want YOUR News Here! Please send your news (personal, business, whatever) to Sheila Riley to be included in our next E-Newsletter. Send to sheilaandruss@aol.com. Please, send us some information so we’re not just reporting on the FSU alums out here in the Entertainment Industry. We want to report on what our Entertainment Alums are doing. We also want to report on what lots of alums are doing. We want to report on lots of various Nole activities here in SoCal!
